Quotes
I'm learning how to cook, which is so cool. It's my new big adventure, if you can believe it, to get past just making a grilled cheese. I can grill fish now, I can do this really great portobello mushroom dish. I'm all over the cooking thing.

I'm deathly afraid of rats. The other night I heard a scritch-scritch-scritch noise in my house. Apparently a rat is trapped underneath the floor. He keeps me awake at night. I hear that noise and I grab the dog and hide in the corner.

My worst are my feet. If you cut my big toe off I'd be an 8 and a half instead of a 10. My best feature are my long legs.

In The Crow: Salvation I actually play my own age and then in Teacher's Pet I play a psychopath. I break out of an insane asylum. I'm the lead in that film. I'm in every scene of that movie, and I get to be crazy. And let me tell you, crazy is fun. I'm trying to broaden my range and get different characters in each film. I want to show people that I'm not just a bitch from high school.

I was on Halloween: H20 and I was doing that scene where I get killed. Remember when I'm crawling across the floor, and [Michael Meyers] puts his foot on my neck, and stabs me in the back? Well, that's my friend Chris Durant who played Mike Meyers. One of the times he stepped on my neck, and my hands were so clammy because it was so hot. It was like the tenth time we did that scene and my hand slipped and I fell flat on my face. I wound up with two big black eyes the next day.

The only problem I've had is when people find out how old I am. Some people see me and think I'm only seventeen and they won't listen to what I say, but I'm almost grown up and I'm intelligent, so you can listen to what I say.

I was in the airport one time and these girls were screaming, "Taylor!" And I was oblivious, because I'm not Taylor, and it had been so long since I had made the movie. Then I realized that they were screaming at me, and I was like, "Oh hi, my name is Jodi." And they were like, "Taylor! Taylor!" And I was like, "No, I'm Jodi, but hi, nice to meet you." I just play Taylor, I'm not that person.

I was not the most popular girl in high school.

A lot of the time the film chooses me. I'll be working and I'll get a call from my agent and I'll get the script and then tell him what I think. This is new for me because before I used to have to go through the audition process. I went, auditioned, and if they liked me, they liked me. If not, I had to start all over again.

I get up at 5:30 or 6 in the morning and work, I'm also on planes, going around to auditions until 7 or 8 at night.

I'm one of those people who watches horror movies from behind the couch. I've always been terrified of that Michael Myers character, and suddenly he walks onto the set with a huge meat cleaver in his hand. My worst nightmare come true. I froze. I'm also really afraid of seeing my own blood, and they poured fake blood all over me. The only saving grace was that when the guy who played Michael took off his mask, he was one of the stunt men from Nash Bridges.

I take a class in Kickboxing. One time I kicked the bag so hard I split my toenail.

I'm a workin' machine.

I'm always on the go, plus there's 87 stairs to get up to my house so it keeps me in shape. A couple bag of groceries and I have a workout.

I love when teenage girls come up to me and they're really excited. One girl said to me recently, "Oh my gosh, are you really that mean? Can I ask you for a picture?" And I was like, "I'm not mean at all. Come and talk to me whenever you want and take a picture." I'm very lucky to be doing what I'm doing, but now I'm trying to focus on doing some other roles.

I did make some not-so-great relationship decisions when I was a lot younger. I do know that not all high school boys are great and wonderful and Prince Charming, and there are a few that are going to treat you that way. I don't know if that's true for the general public, but I'm sure it's happened to everybody.

I love to ride horses. That's one of the things that de-stresses me.

I've got a scar underneath my chin. When I was little my sister put me on the roof of my grandfather's Cadillac in our driveway so she could jump rope without me bothering her. My mom came out and said, "Get off of that car!" So I took a nosedive off and busted my chin wide open.

Biggest challenge was working and finishing school. When you work 16 hours a day and have to graduate, it's tough.

I try to have my own groove. I don't really tango or waltz. I took some salsa but that's it.
